Vrndavenesvari: In Los Angeles Prabhupada said in a lecture, “Even if you don’t feel like dancing, you should force yourself to dance, and the bliss will come.” Many times I’ve experienced coming into the temple and be in the modes and feeling tired. And then I remember that statement, and I start to just shuffle back and forth, and after a short period of time, I’m swept away, or ecstatically dancing. I remember Prabhupada’s instructions saying that, “Force yourself to dance and the bliss will come”, and it’s true. It’s not an ordinary experience. We’re thinking, “Oh, it’s just dancing. You dance in the temple.” But this is part of our philosophy. Prabhupada said, “Dance for the Deities. It’s an ecstatic, transcendental experience, and it gives Krishna great pleasure.”
