Beauty of Prabhupada’s Disciple

He allowed us to innovate

Hansaduta:The beauty of being Prabhupada’s disciple was that he allowed us to innovate. He had confidence in us and gave us room to do things without consulting him like a schoolboy consulting his father. If we did something that was inspired by Krishna, Prabhupada recognized that, enlivened us, and caused us to expand more. An important part of relating to Prabhupada was the freedom that he gave his disciples to run with the ball. Of course, sometimes we fell on our face and lost the ball. But Prabhupada would not make an ongoing case of it and badger us every time he saw us. He dealt with it and that was it, and we continued.
